'Open Wide' is an original hand carved and hand printed linocut inspired by my love of sushi (I've used lots of veggies colours in this print). It's been created using the multi-block method and each individual coloured ink was painted onto the lino block by hand before being printed traditionally.
Paper type: Japanese HoSho paper
Number of prints in this edition: Open Edition
Postage format: 8 inch white acid-free mount with 4 inch aperture
Prints vary a little across the edition due to the nature of them being hand printed. Professional standard inks used in the multiblock method of creating linocuts. Please do not display in direct sunlight. Linocut block displayed in the photographs not included.
Linocut prints come with a certificate of authenticity on the rear of the mount. Linocut prints are signed, titled and editioned (where relevant).
Linocut is a form of relief printmaking whereby designs are carved into a block of linoleum and ink is rolled on the surface to create the print. Video examples of the printing process can be found on my social media (@stellaboxdesigns).
This linocut was designed and printed by me in my studio in Norwich, Norfolk, England.
